How to use DhanSutra

DhanSutra is built for Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) investors who want portfolio tracking, live quotes, and educational AI in one place. This guide covers the everyday flow after you install the app.

1. Download and sign in

1. Install DhanSutra from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Create an account or sign in with email or Google.
3. Your portfolio and watchlist sync to your account so you can reopen them on the same device after sign-in.

2. Build your portfolio

You can add holdings in two ways:

• Import from MeroShare — export My WACC and My Portfolio CSVs, then import both in Portfolio. See the MeroShare import guide.
• Add manually — use the yellow + button on Portfolio to enter symbol, quantity, and cost.

On Portfolio you can switch All vs 24h P/L, hide balances with the eye icon, and manage multiple portfolios from the folder selector (for example “Main”).

3. Follow the live market

Open the Stocks tab to browse NEPSE symbols, search by name or sector, and see advancers / decliners. Tap the heart to add or remove a symbol from your watchlist. The NEPSE index in the app bar keeps session context while you move around.

4. Use Watchlist and Insights

• Watchlist — symbols you care about without cluttering your portfolio.
• Sutra Score — on Portfolio, a 0–100 blend of range, dividends, valuation context, and fit. It is a heuristic, not advice.
• AI hold / sell — from Portfolio Insights, tap Get AI suggestion for educational angles on what you hold. Regenerate when your book changes.
• Insights tab — Portfolio Review, Risk & Concentration, next-step ideas, and Market Opportunities. Some runs need Premium for unlimited access.

5. Analytics

Under Portfolio → Analytics, open Holdings, Sectors, or P/L charts to see concentration by market value and how each holding contributes.

6. Free vs Premium

Core tracking and a daily AI allowance work without paying. Premium unlocks unlimited AI and the expert commentary feed. Details and payment instructions live in the app Profile / Premium screens.

Suggested daily habit

1. Check NEPSE index and Stocks pulse after open.
2. Scan Portfolio All / 24h P/L for surprises.
3. Use Watchlist for names you are researching.
4. Run Insights when you want a second pass — then verify yourself.
